Mark Tyo, FNP-C

Mark Tyo is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with 35 years in healthcare, trained at the University of North Alabama. His background spans family practice and emergency and urgent care — and at UACC, where he has practiced since 2022, he holds time in his schedule so urgent urologic problems can be seen the same day.

His clinical home is men's health: erectile dysfunction and low testosterone, evaluated and treated with the practice's full range of options. He is also a veteran of the war in Afghanistan — ten years in the U.S. Army Reserve as an Army nurse — and knows the VA healthcare system firsthand, which many Cape veterans find makes care easier to navigate.
