Not all leakage is the same
Stress incontinence (leaking with pressure — coughs, lifting, exercise), urge incontinence (the bladder demanding attention on its own schedule), and mixed patterns each respond to different treatment. Naming the type correctly is most of the work.
How we evaluate it
Your visit is led by our experienced advanced practice providers, in coordination with the practice's physicians. Evaluation is unhurried and office-based: a careful history, urine testing through our on-site lab to rule out infection, and a clear mapping of when and how the leakage happens.
Treatment, stepwise
First-line care genuinely works for many women: pelvic floor strengthening — with coordination of formal pelvic floor physical therapy when useful — bladder training, fluid and habit adjustments, and medications for urge symptoms. When symptoms persist and a procedure is worth considering, the practice's physicians are brought directly into your care to evaluate the options and coordinate next steps.
