Your timeline
- Arrive at least 2 days before your scheduled procedure. Dr. Kramer may meet with you in the office the day before surgery for a final examination and to answer any remaining questions.
- Plan to stay on Cape Cod for 2–3 days after surgery. Leaving the day after is possible if necessary, but not recommended because of possible complications.
- All the standard implant instructions apply — see Penile Implant Surgery for the full pre-op and post-op list.
- Traveling alone? Tell us — the hospital will not discharge you without someone to drive you, and a specific hotel arrangement below is required.
Where to stay
Hyannis has several comfortable hotels within minutes of Cape Cod Hospital, and our surgical coordinator will help you choose one when your surgery is scheduled. If you're traveling alone, the hospital requires you to stay at a specific hotel a few minutes away for the first nights after surgery — our surgical coordinator books that with you when your date is set, and you'll know the cost up front.
